The Rugged series is a Rarity weapon series introduced on June 8th, 2022.
This series can be listed on player shops.
Weapon Coverage
The Rugged series is divided into multiple subseries, these subseries are purely cosmetic with their potentials being determined by external factors.
Citadel Unit Weapons:
Rugged Sword
Rugged Knuckles
Rugged Rifle
Rugged Bow
Rugged Wand
Rugged Boots
Pursuit Unit Weapons:
Rugged Wire
Rugged Saber
Rugged Blades
Rugged Machine Guns
Rugged Gunblade
Rugged Talis
Gyrating Unit Weapons:
Rugged Spear
Rugged Daggers
Rugged Katana
Rugged Launcher
Rugged Rod
Rugged Harmonizer
Unique Properties
The Rugged series has multiple potentials and Color Variants, and a multi-weapon will inherit both the CV effect and potential of the primary weapon. For instance, if you create a Sword/Wire, both weapons will have the effects of Citadel Unit, while if you create a Wire/Sword, both weapons will have the effetcts of Pursuit Unit instead.
Stats and Potential
The Rugged series has multiple potentials, which are Citadel Unit, Pursuit Unit, and Gyrating Unit.
Citadel Unit generates stacks of a 40% damage resistance barrier, up to a maximum of 3. There's a 30 second delay between each barrier stack, but defeating a nearby enemy removes 2 seconds from the wait timer.
While potent and able to take multiple hits in a row, there is still a cooldown. Consider options like Codeck if you need a barrier for any reason.
Pursuit Unit has much lower Potency than average, but deals bonus damage when attacking, anywhere from one to three times. The bonus attack can occur once every five seconds, can miss due to having a slight delay, and has a Power notation of 80.
There is roughly a 60% chance it deals one bonus hit, a 30% chance it deals two bonus hits, and a 10% chance it deals three bonus hits. The average expected bonus is 1.5 hits, or roughly 120 Power.
Gyrating Unit sharply reduces PP costs for 20 seconds after spending 300 PP. There is a 10 second cooldown before this effect can be re-activated, so any PP spent during the first 10 seconds of the effect does not count towards extending the effect's duration.
Drop Info
Rugged weapons drop most frequently in Dext Base, while individual Rugged weapons drop from specific bosses in the Kvaris region. All Rugged weapons drop from Urgent Quests and Limited Time Quests with level 65+ enemies.
Other Trivia
This series was originally meant to be three individual weapon series, but due to player feedback with the Multi Weapon system on the lack of ability to create multi-weapons with other on-tier series such as Gothica and Quintel, it was merged into a single series.
Unlike the Rokz series it debuted with and the Tisah series that debuted later, the entire Rugged series shares the name "Rugged" despite having multiple design motifs that match the potentials the weapons have.
