The Force class is one of ten classes available to players in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis.
Basic information
For information about Force's weapons, see /Equipment. For information about its Class Skills, see /Skill Tree.
Forces are a class that can equip Rods and Talises. While they can battle from any range, their most effective distance depends on their target.
As a Main Class
Force is defined by having access to Techniques, which primarily build Elemental Down rather than Physical Down. This allows Force players to have more stun windows against bosses.
As a Sub Class
Force is the most commonly used Sub Class for farming Combat Sectors due to Eradication Bonus keeping PP maximized during a PSE Burst, as well as granting access to Talis for easy mobbing.
Strengths
- Boasts the fastest Elemental Down build rate
- Can battle from any range
- Access to Talis for PSE Bursts
Weaknesses
- Has to work incredibly hard to deal its damage
- Charged Techniques can be interrupted
- Constant management of skill timers and resource stacks can become overwhelming
- If there's only one Force present, certain big bosses may not even be inflicted with an Elemental Down before being defeated
- Talis struggles against single-target scenarios, or in cases where there are multiple elements present
Misconceptions
- Zonde is often used for low-effort mobbing, but it is only really effective in areas that primarily have weaker enemies, such as Retem Alnothe
